I'm the founder, curator, and energy behind Kit. After years of struggling to find activewear that ticked all of my boxes … you know the ones, quality, luxe fabrics, hold everything in place and make you feel amazing on the daily! That’s when I decided to create Kit, a brand that houses an intimate collection of deliciously beautiful activewear from around the world.
I’m big on female empowerment, always prioritising quality over quantity and passionate about daily movement for physical and mental well-being. Plus, I have a cheeky little not-so secret obsession with leggings.

How long will my item take to arrive?
1-3 business days if you live in NZ (and 5-10 if you live in Aus). Read our shipping policy here.
Do you ship internationally?
We sure do! Mainly to Australia, but we can send your Kit pretty much anywhere. If you want to double check whether we ship to your country, email hello@kitthejourney.co.nz.
How do I find my size?
Our product descriptions are pretty comprehensive and will let you know the fit of the item you’re looking at (whether it fits true to size or runs a little smaller/larger). You’ll also find a handy conversion table here, which can help you get your head around international sizing.
How do I care for my Kit?
If you show your activewear TLC, it’ll stay in tip-top condition for longer. As a general rule, we suggest putting your activewear in a delicate wash bag (you know, those ones you’re meant to wash your bras & undies in but always forget to use?), choosing the cool water setting on your washing machine, and allowing your items to air dry. Your activewear will also come with its own set of care instructions on the label.
Is Afterpay & Laybuy available?
Yes! You can buy now & pay later (both online and in Pop-Up) using Afterpay or Laybuy.
Can I cancel my order?
Once your order has been processed, it can’t be cancelled. If you’ve gotten a bit carried away on the ‘late night online shopping’ scene (don’t worry - it happens to the best of us) email hello@kitthejourney.co.nz as soon as possible and we can sort you out with an exchange or credit.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number via email. Simply follow the link provided and you’ll be able to track your goodies all the way to your front door.
How do I create an online account?
All you need to do is click this link, then follow the prompts to create your account via username and password. Simples!
Do you stock plus size activewear?
Kit is a brand for all body types, so YES, you’ll find some beautiful plus size activewear both online & in store at our Pop-Up locations. Please note sizing does differ between products - check the individual product listing to see if we have your size available.

We announce our upcoming Pop-Ups on our website (see here) and on Instagram (make sure you’re following us!
Can I return an item?
Absolutely, provided it meets our Returns & Exchanges criteria (check here).
No pain-in-the-bum forms to fill out, gypsy tears or blood of your first born required.
I don’t live in the Hawke’s Bay region. Can you host a Kit Pop-Up in my town instead?
Firstly, our neck of the woods is pretty beautiful, so you’re missing out there…
But in all seriousness, Hawke’s Bay is where we’re based, so for now our Pop-Ups will remain local. If you can’t see us in real life, don’t stress. The cool thing about our online store is that you can shop 24/7, from anywhere in the world!
Who created Kit?
Rachel Terry is the founder, curator & health nut behind Kit. After years of struggling to find activewear that ticked all her boxes (you know the ones - they’re probably similar to yours: top quality, long lasting, holds everything in place, luxe fabrics etc.), she decided to create a brand that housed an intimate curation of the world’s best. Rach is big on female empowerment, quality over quantity, and daily movement for physical & mental wellbeing. And she has a serious obsession with leggings.
